LOCATION : The Sofitel Cecil in Alexandria has always been considered a romantic hotel to its visitors. Established in 1929, this is one of the historical hotels that has never been anything except a hotel, unlike others that began as palaces or royal lodges. With a panoramic view of the Eastern Harbor of Alexandria, central location near good shopping and entertainment, this hotel is hard to beat, and there are few other high end hotels in the area of Alexandria where it is located. All rooms are air conditioned, have color TVs with satellite reception, private baths, telephones, radios, minifridges, hair dryers and private balconies. And unlike many hotels in Egypt, there are also non smoking rooms.
